Musictown Studio presents Chris Slight in concert!¬†Enjoy a fabulous night of music at Musictown Studio’s The Alleyway featuring Chris Sligh on Friday, October 13, 7 pm. The Alleyway is located at Musictown Studio’s Court Street Campus, 215 Court Street, Woodland. Everyone is welcome to attend this free, family friend event. Chris was in the Top 10 of Season 6 of American Idol. Since then, he has had hit songs on the radio such as “Empty Me” and was in the movie October Baby. Chris now resides in Nashville where he produces and continues to further his music...

Summer Recital Series Part 2

Students, family, and community members gathered at Musictown Studio’s Alleyway on August 7 for a second night of music in the summer recital series. The warm summer weather was just right. As everyone waited for the performance to begin, they munched on delicious tacos from Las Brasas and enjoyed something to drink. During the performance, voice, piano, drums, trombone, guitar, and violin students took the stage to demonstrate their skills. The music was fabulous! Selections ranged from childhood favorites like “Old MacDonald” to classics like “Jolene” and current favorites like “Heathens”. Everyone did a fantastic job! In addition to live music, sewing pieces from one of our child seamstresses was also displayed. The next recital will be held in December. We’re excited to see students perform and display their work...

Summer Recital Series Part 1

Thursday, August 3, Musictown Studio kicked off their summer recital series in celebration of Musictown Studio’s fifth anniversary.¬†Students, families, and community members gathered together for dinner and live music. Before music began, special food vendor Las Brasas had tacos and drinks available for attenders to purchase. Ciltantro, onions, or salsa? It’s up to you how much of each you top your tacos with.   At 6:30 pm, it was music time! Voice, drums, piano, violin, and guitar students all performed.                                 Everyone did a fantastic job during their performances! The fun isn’t over yet. The summer recital series continues Monday, August 7, 6:30 pm, at The Alleyway located at the Court Street Campus. Once again Las Brasas will return selling tacos and drinks beginning at 5:30 pm.
